We've just learned Gary Collins was booked today in Santa Barbara County, Cal. and is now under house arrest.

Gary was busted back in January for driving a motor home drunk in Santa Barbara -- so drunk that his BAC was an astounding .29, which is more than 3 times the legal limit.

Collins has been sentenced to 120 days, but could only serve 72 days if he abides by the rules.
