The U.S. Marshals Service, in a letter dated Tuesday, said Snipes must report to Federal Correctional Institution McKean, in Lewis Run, Pa., no later than 12 p.m., Dec. 9.

The prison is a medium-security facility for men about 90 miles south of Buffalo, N.Y. It has a capacity of 784 prisoners, according to "The Federal Prison System" by Mary Bosworth, though it housed nearly 1,400 men in 2002. The federal Bureau of Prisons says it operates a prison camp as a satellite facility that houses minimum-security male offenders.

Federal prosecutors in Central Florida argued Snipes obstructed the IRS and attempted to avoid paying millions of dollars in taxes.

Snipes, 48, the Orlando-born star of the "Blade" trilogy, "White Men Can't Jump" and "Jungle Fever," was convicted in 2008 of three misdemeanor counts of willfully failing to file federal tax returns.

He was ordered to serve three years in prison.

Last month, a federal judge rejected Snipes' demand for a new trial and ordered the Jones High School graduate to surrender to federal authorities.

The Marshals Service's letter to Snipes said failure to report to the prison on time may result in additional criminal charges. He was not in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons on Wednesday, according to the agency's website.

"Repent! Repent! Repent!" Michael Brea, screamed at his 55-year-old mother, Yannick, during his bizarre meltdown and the subsequent bloodbath at their Brooklyn, N.Y., apartment, neighbors said.

Brea, 31, who had roles in "Ugly Betty" and the movie "Step Up 3D," was heard repeatedly through the door shouting about the "architect of the universe," a term used by Freemasons to refer to a supreme being. Longtime family friend Sylvan Benoit confirmed that Brea was a member of the Freemasons and had been to a meeting earlier in the evening.

The Masonic sword was 3-feet long and meant for ceremonial use, police sources said.

When cops broke down the apartment door at around 2 a.m., they Tasered and arrested Brea, and charged him with murder.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital for psychiatric evaluation, and allegedly blurted out, "When I looked at my mother, I saw the devil."

Last year, the search centered on Texas, but in recent weeks the focus on the Quaids' whereabouts has shifted to Canada, where they are seeking asylum from a mysterious syndicate they've dubbed "Hollywood star-whackers."

In the latest case, Santa Barbara Superior Court Judge Donna Geck was the one asking about the actor and his wife's whereabouts Tuesday. They had been scheduled to appear for an arraignment on felony vandalism charges, but for the third time in two weeks, failed to appear.

The result was an arrest warrant issued for Evi Quaid, who also forfeited $500,000 bail. The judge agreed to hold off on issuing a warrant for Randy Quaid's arrest until Nov. 16 so that he could attend a Canadian immigration proceeding next week.

With a string of missed court appearances and bizarre behavior both in and out of the courthouse, that hearing may give the Quaids their last chance to address the vandalism case voluntarily. Their attorney, Robert Sanger, acknowledged Tuesday that there is talk of bounty hunters pursuing his clients.

Sanger told Geck that Evi Quaid didn't appear in court because she didn't want to leave her husband alone.

It wasn't a valid legal reason for Evi Quaid's absence, Sanger conceded, but he also said he was looking into whether the couple's stated fears may have some legitimacy.

The couple are accused of living in the guest house of a home they once owned. Sanger said he suspected forgery on the home's deed transferring ownership from the Quaids in early 1990s, but he needed more time to be sure.

"There may be a claim of right — as strange as that may seem — to the property in this case," Sanger said.

Strange circumstances have defined the Quaids since September 2009, when they were accused of defrauding an innkeeper of more than $10,000. The money was repaid, and the case was finally resolved in April, but not until after several missed court appearances, warrants and the couple ending up in handcuffs.

Their infrequent appearances have seemed more akin to the quirky characters Randy Quaid excelled at playing in films such as "National Lampoon's Vacation" and "Independence Day," than the roles that won him Oscar and Emmy nominations. He and his wife were once freed after convincing a West Texas sheriff to drive them to the bank so they could post bail. At a later hearing in Santa Barbara, Randy Quaid brought along his Golden Globe Award, which he earned for a TV movie role in the late 1980s.

The actor was cleared in the innkeeper case, while his wife pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor and was placed on three years probation. The couple was ostensibly free, with no more court dates and no formal supervision.

Then in September, the alarm at the Quaids' former home in Santa Barbara. Deputies were called and arrested the couple on suspicion of illegally squatting in the guest house.

The damage they allegedly caused scared the home's current owners, who sought and were granted temporary restraining orders against the actor and his wife.

The Quaids had disabled the home's security system, removed cameras, blocked the front door with heavy pots and dismantled a children's wooden play structure to erect barriers in the foliage, according to a declaration filed by homeowner Lannette Turicchi.

Evi Quaid showed up days after her arrest at Turicchi's home near Los Angeles and threatened her, according to the restraining order document.

Since mid-October, the Quaids have been in Canada, Sanger said Tuesday. They were arrested days after missing their arraignment on the vandalism case in a posh Vancouver shopping area.

They immediately sought refugee status, and through an attorney, said they were afraid of "Hollywood star-whackers" who they say may have contributed to the deaths of stars such as David Carradine and Heath Ledger. Carradine was found hanging in a Bangkok hotel room, and Ledger died of accidental drug overdose in New York City.

Sanger didn't reference the "star-whackers" Tuesday in court, nor did he answer reporter's questions after the hearing. He urged patience, both from Geck and prosecutor Anthony Harris.

There are no guarantees that Quaids will show up on Nov. 16, other than they risk losing more bail collateral and getting arrested again.

But if they do, there are two judges who would like to see them — the one who will handle their arraignment on the vandalism charges, and another considering whether to issue a lengthy restraining order keeping them away from the Turicchi family and their homes.

Early yesterday morning, security at the Plaza Hotel had called police to report Sheen had trashed his room.

A law enforcement official says when officers arrived at 1:30 in the morning, Sheen appeared to be intoxicated. The official says a woman who'd been with him said they'd both been out drinking and partying, adding that when they got back to the room, Sheen was yelling and throwing furniture around.

The Post reports that the actor began wrecking his room after accusing a prostitute of stealing his wallet and cell phone, while his children slept in a nearby room.

A source told The Post that the petrified prostitute phoned a friend who was "working" elsewhere in The Plaza. The friend then alerted hotel staff, which dialed 911.

Police say Sheen was not arrested. Instead, he voluntarily went with authorities for a psychiatric evaluation at a hospital. Sheen's rep told FOX411.com that Sheen "had an adverse allergic reaction to some medication and was taken to the hospital."

Sheen's ex, Denise Richards, was staying at the same hotel with their two little girls.

"This is a very personal, private matter," Richards said in an interview Wednesday on Fox News.

"I'm not gonna comment on anything. I'm good. My girls are good," she said.

Richards was in town to promote her series "Blue Mountain State." Sheen, Richards and their children were spotted out and about in New York City last weekend, including a Broadway performance of "Mary Poppins."

Her two children were reportedly staying with Richards in her room. It is unclear if they accompanied the couple to the hospital.

Sheen currently stars on the CBS sitcom "Two and Half Men." He was arrested in Aspen, Colorado last year after an altercation with his then-wife Brooke Mueller, in which she called 911 saying that he had threatened her with a knife.

Sheen has two children with Richards, and two with Mueller.
This matter will be dealt with in the courts not in the media and I encourage people not to rush to judgment until all of the facts have been dealt with in a court of law. There will be no interviews and no more comments at this time.”

Shortly before midnight Friday a crowd quickly gathered near the stop on Las Vegas Boulevard near the Wynn Las Vegas resort, and Hilton was taken into the hotel "to keep her safe" during the initial investigation, police Lt. Wayne Holman said.

The 29-year-old socialite and Las Vegas nightclub mogul Cy Waits were booked into the Clark County jail, police said. Hilton was released early Saturday morning without bail.

Officer Marcus Martin said police found that Hilton had a substance that tests later showed to be cocaine, but he did not say how much of the drug was found. She was arrested on a felony cocaine possession charge.

June 4, 2007: Paris Hilton is seen after turning herself in to begin a jail sentence in Lynwood, Calif. after pleading no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving.

If convicted of the low-grade felony, Hilton would get probation, but any violation would be punishable by one to four years in jail.

Clark County District Attorney David Roger declined to comment Saturday.

Hilton's attorney, David Chesnoff, told The Associated Press on Saturday morning that he was still gathering facts about the arrest.

"But I caution people not to rush to judgment," he said.

Hilton's manager did not immediately respond early Saturday to telephone calls for comment. After her arrest, she told fans she was in bed watching the television show "Family Guy" and then she announced she was going to bed. It was unclear if the tweets were coming from her, being sent out on time release or being sent by someone else.

Earlier this week, Hilton was in the news when a 31-year-old man allegedly tried to break into her Los Angeles home.

Authorities have said that someone carrying two big knives banged on Hilton's window Tuesday. She posted a photo of the arrest on Twitter and described it as "scary." Nathan Lee Parada faces a felony burglary charge.

Hilton was arrested this summer after the Brazil-Netherlands World Cup match in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, on suspicion of possession of marijuana. The case was then dropped at a midnight court hearing.

Hilton pleaded no contest in 2007 to alcohol-related reckless driving and was sentenced to 45 days in jail. After spending about 23 days in jail, Hilton told CNN host Larry King that the experience caused her to re-evaluate the role partying played in her life. She said she wanted "to help raise money for kids and for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis."

While most famous for her tabloid exploits and reality TV series "The Simple Life," Hilton has appeared in the films "Bottoms Up," "The Hottie & the Nottie" and "House of Wax."

SOURCEMaureen McHalehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13547236096510278686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2702831105004251432.post-75981948635129877912010-08-24T06:36:00.000-07:002010-08-24T06:38:43.250-07:00Mary Kennedy Charges with Driving Under Influence of DrugsThe wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs one month after her license was suspended following her guilty plea to driving while impaired by alcohol, state police said Tuesday.

Mary Richardson Kennedy, 50, initially was pulled over Saturday morning for speeding on the Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County, in the Hudson Valley, state police told The Associated Press. They did not specify how fast her Volvo was going, the results of her sobriety test or what drugs she allegedly had taken.

Kennedy told the trooper who stopped her after she was observed driving 82 mph that she was headed to a yoga class, The Journal News reported. She was driving alone.

After her arrest, she was taken to the state police barracks in Millbrook and examined by a drug-recognition expert, who determined she was under the influence of a prescription medication, the newspaper said. It did not identify the drug.

Kennedy is scheduled to appear in Pleasant Valley Town Court on Thursday.

There is no phone listing for the Kennedy home in Bedford, a New York City suburb. Robert Kennedy has reportedly filed for divorce and police records indicate Mary Kennedy lives in nearby Mount Kisco, but a phone number for her could not immediately be found.

Mary Kennedy's lawyer, Kerry Lawrence, did not immediately respond to a voice mail left by the AP at his office early Tuesday, but he told The Journal News, "We look forward to defending the charges against Miss Richardson Kennedy."

Kennedy was first arrested May 15 on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a police officer reported seeing her drive her car over a curb near the Bedford home. Her only passenger was a dog. Police said she had a blood-alcohol level of 0.11 percent; the legal limit is 0.08 percent.

She avoided jail time by pleading guilty to a lesser charge, admitting in court last month that her driving ability was impaired during the incident.

The judge fined Kennedy $500, suspended her driver's license for 90 days and ordered her to attend two drunken-driving programs.

Kennedy had a conditional license that allowed her to drive under certain circumstances, The Journal News reported.

Lawrence told the newspaper that his client was heading to the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, an accredited educational center, and that she was allowed to drive there under the terms of her conditional license. The conditional license was issued Aug. 12, the day after her license suspension went into effect.

Mary Kennedy's first arrest came three days after Robert Kennedy filed a matrimonial action with the Westchester County clerk's office, naming his wife as defendant. Several news reports said he had filed for divorce, and most such filings are divorce suits, but the papers are sealed and both Kennedys have refused to comment.

Robert Kennedy, a prominent environmental lawyer, is the son of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of President John F. Kennedy, both assassinated in the 1960s. Mary Kennedy is his second wife. They have four children.

Bedford police said in May that they had responded to the Kennedy home twice in the week before Mary Kennedy's arrest but no crimes had been committed.

SOURCEMaureen McHalehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13547236096510278686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2702831105004251432.post-37187266501372088242010-07-19T06:48:00.001-07:002010-07-19T06:50:02.476-07:00Joe Montana's Son Nate Among 11 Notre Dame Athletes ArrestedThe son of former Notre Dame standout Joe Montana was among 11 Fighting Irish athletes arrested on misdemeanor charges of underage drinking at a party Friday night.

A total of 44 people were arrested after city police responded to a call about a fight near a roadway and discovered the party, said St. Joseph County Police assistant chief Bill Redman.

Two non-athletes face a misdemeanor charge of providing alcohol to minors. Several incoming freshmen are expected to compete with him for the No. 2 spot when practice begins next month.

The other athletes arrested were wide receivers Robby Toma and Tai-ler Jones, linebacker Steve Filer, kicker Nick Tausch, cornerback Lo Wood, and offensive linemen Chris Watt and Tate Nichols; incoming freshman point guard Eric Atkins; and incoming hockey goalie Steven Summerhays.

Most of those arrested had been released on $150 bond, Redman said. They are scheduled to make court appearances July 30.

If convicted, each faces a maximum sentence of 30 days in jail.

Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly said he was aware of the arrests and was gathering information.

"If there is any team-related discipline to be issued, it would be handled internally," he said.

Bernie Cafarelli, Notre Dame's sports information director, said basketball coach Mike Brey also would handle any punishment internally.

SOURCEMaureen McHalehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13547236096510278686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2702831105004251432.post-83464983295000056662010-07-15T06:37:00.000-07:002010-07-15T06:38:51.234-07:00Mary Kennedy Faces DUI Charges
The wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. faces a court date next week on a drunk driving charge, the latest in a string of events that began when Kennedy filed for divorce, according to records from Westchester County.
Records from the Westchester County Clerk show that Kennedy filed for divorce from his wife, Mary Kennedy, on May 12.

The next evening, according to police records, Bedford police responded to a 911 call. When police arrived at the Kennedy residence they found the couple in an argument over taking their four children to a carnival at St. Patrick's School.

According to a "domestic incident" report filed by the officer on the scene, "Mr. Kennedy stated that his wife was intoxicated and was acting irrational so he took the children to the carnival to remove them from the situation."

No one was injured, the report said.

Two days later, Mary Kennedy was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Bedford Police Lt. Jeff Dickans told CNN that Mary was arrested around 9:15 p.m. on May 15. Dickans said that Bedford police officer Patricia McGraw saw Kennedy's 2004 Volvo swerving onto the curb of Greenwich Road in Bedford and asked her to pull over.

Kennedy had slurred speech, and a blood-alcohol-content above 0.08 percent, the legal limit in New York. She was charged with driving while intoxicated.

"The DUI is pending and we're hopeful that we'll be able to resolve it in the future," her lawyer, Kerry Lawrence, told CNN.

She is due to appear in Town Court on July 22. Lawrence declined to comment on the divorce filing.

Reached through his assistant, Mary Beth Postman, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. also declined to comment on the divorce.

SOURCE

Maureen McHalehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13547236096510278686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2702831105004251432.post-66295711699198786522010-07-08T07:40:00.000-07:002010-07-08T07:42:15.444-07:00Lindsay Lohan Nail Polish Reveals Message
Lindsay, tell us how your really feel...

Maureen McHalehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13547236096510278686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2702831105004251432.post-85506377400880541972010-07-07T06:41:00.000-07:002010-07-07T06:45:07.782-07:00Lindsay Lohan Could End Up Serving Less Than a Week in Jail
In December 2006, Nicole Richie was sentenced to four days in prison for driving under the influence of drugs when she was nabbed traveling in the wrong direction on the Ventura Freeway. On July 27th, Richie checked herself into the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood California to serve her sentence, but was released after a mere 82 minutes in the big house, or less than 2 percent of her sentence.

Party pal Paris Hilton was less fortunate than Richie, but she still danced a delicate tango around her mandated 2007 sentence of 45 days in jail for parole violation. After attending the MTV Movie Awards, Hilton checked herself into Century on June 3, 2007. Four days later Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca signed an order reassigning Hilton to house arrest with electronic monitoring claiming prison overcrowding. Baca received public outrage for the suspended sentence and on June 8, Hilton was ordered back to jail by Judge Michael Sauer.

Upon hearing her sentence, Hilton became tearful and yelled, “It’s not right.” Hilton ended up spending 23 days, or about 30 percent of her sentence in jail.

So how much of the 90-day sentence for probation violations can Lindsay Lohan expect to spend in the Los Angeles penal system?

Following the hearing, the Los Angeles Sheriff spokesman Steve Whitmore said an inmate in Lohan's situation (a woman sent to jail for nonviolent crimes, not a celebrity) generally serves about 25 percent of their sentence, which in this case would be approximately 23 days.

Lindsay Lohan has made some drastic improvements in her appearance since her May hearing.

"A person [of] such notoriety will be kept away from the general population," Whitmore said outside of courthouse.

But Lindsay’s time behind bars could be significantly less than that.

“Luckily for Lindsay, she could get significant jail time shaved off the judge's sentence. Depending on jail overcrowding conditions, which is a common occurrence in Los Angeles County, the Department of Corrections can shave anywhere from 75 percent, even up to 90 percent off her 90-day sentence for a non-violent misdemeanor," Criminal Defense Attorney Stacy Schneider told Fox411. "With extra jail time credits also applied, I am betting she will serve about a week or less."

SOURCEMaureen McHalehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13547236096510278686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2702831105004251432.post-2907742136384655772010-06-29T18:41:00.000-07:002010-06-29T18:45:38.119-07:00'Melrose Place' Actress Charged in Fatal Car Accident
Former "Melrose Place" actress Amy Locane-Bovenizer was charged in a drunk driving accident that killed a New Jersey woman, the New York Post reported Tuesday.

Locane-Bovenizer, who played Sandy Louise Harling on "Melrose Place," was driving a 2007 Chevy Tahoe on Sunday night when she slammed into the passenger side of a vehicle, instantly killing noted art historian Helene Seeman, 60, authorities said.

The driver, Seeman’s husband Fred, 60, was transported in a Medevac helicopter and remained incapacitated with serious injuries.

The couple were struck as they turned into their driveway in Princeton, N.J. MTV has comprised a list of the top 10 celebrity arrests of the year; lets check out the list...

10. Paris Hilton
Back in June, following an appearance at the MTV Movie Awards, Hilton willingly turned herself in to police to begin serving a 23-day jail sentence, related to her arrest for violating the terms of her alcohol-related probation. She ended up serving 23 days and was released.

9. Game
Compton-bred rapper the Game was collared in mid-May in Los Angeles and booked on suspicion of making criminal threats. The arrest, according to police, was connected to an incident that went down three months prior, amid a pickup basketball game. The rapper was accused of brandishing a weapon during the game, which he used to threaten one of the other players. He was later released on $50,000 bail.

8. Nick Bollea
Last month, the 17-year-old son of wrestler Hulk Hogan turned himself in to police and was arrested on charges of reckless driving for his role in an August crash in Florida that left his passenger, 22-year-old John Graziano, in critical condition. Graziano sustained a broken skull and has been in a coma ever since the accident. Bollea is currently awaiting trial and denies any wrongdoing.

7. Tony Yayo
Back in March, Yayo was arrested on charges of harassment and endangering the welfare of a child in New York, for allegedly slapping the 14-year-old son of the Game's manager, Jimmy Rosemond. He's currently awaiting trial.

6. Lindsay Lohan
Following a stint in rehab, Lohan was arrested in late May for driving under the influence of alcohol after losing control of her Mercedes-Benz convertible and ramming a curb. Police found a small amount of cocaine inside the mangled sports car, and she was right back in rehab. Then, in late July, Lohan was arrested again after being in a bizarre car chase. Lohan refused to take a breathalyzer test, but failed several other field-sobriety tests, and police also found a small amount of cocaine on her. She faced a handful of charges but wound up serving only 84 minutes in jail for her offenses.

5. Lil Wayne
In July, the rapper's first major gig in New York was followed with a trip to the clink, following Wayne's arrest on gun-possession charges. His tour bus was pulled over, and cops searched it, finding a .40 caliber pistol and some marijuana. And then, in October, Wayne was pinched in Boise, Idaho, on a felony fugitive charge issued in Georgia for allegedly possessing a controlled substance. <splittag>

4. Remy Ma
The female rapper was charged this summer with attempted murder charge following a shooting outside a New York nightclub. She pleaded not guilty to the charge and was released on $250,000 bond but was ordered earlier this week to stand trial on charges of gang assault and witness tampering. Prosecutors argue Remy Ma ordered a group of men to attack the boyfriend of her friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph, who she is accused of shooting in July after a dispute that took place on a New York street.

3. OiNK founder Alan Ellis
The 24-year-old Ellis was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and copyright infringement in October as part of an Interpol-led investigation into OiNK, the invite-only file-sharing site he launched three years ago. The site provided illegal downloads of pre-release music and media to its more than 180,000 members before authorities shut it down. Ellis, an IT consultant, operated the site from his apartment in Middlesbrough in the north of England. He dismissed the charges, claiming his site was no different than Google.

2. Kid Rock
Before he was arrested in late October on charges of misdemeanor battery in Georgia for allegedly beating up a man at a Waffle House with his entourage, Rock was arrested for clocking ex-wife Pamela Anderson's first husband, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, during the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas. Rock said a lingering "level of disrespect" between the two provoked the fisticuffs. He was charged by Las Vegas police with misdemeanor battery, but Lee later requested Rock not be charged over the incident.

1. T.I.
In mid-October, the rapper was arrested in Atlanta on charges of buying illegal machine guns, possession of three unregistered machine guns and two silencers, and possession of firearms by a convicted felon. Agents booked T.I. as he allegedly accepted a delivery of three machine guns and two silencers from one of his bodyguards. After posting bail, T.I. was remanded to house arrest, and is not allowed to step out his front door unless he has a medical appointment or court appearance. He is awaiting trial on the gun charges. </splittag>

SOURCEMaureen McHalehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13547236096510278686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2702831105004251432.post-83077113198676827392010-06-04T14:54:00.001-07:002010-06-04T14:56:29.393-07:00Chace Crawford Arrested for PossessionChace Crawford from "Gossip Girl" was arrested in Plano, Texas for possession of marijuana ... cops confirm to TMZ.

We're told Crawford has bonded out of jail.

Crawford was arrested just after midnight this morning for possession of marijuana under 2 ounces. No, the 4-foot-8 Coleman wasn't accused of driving drunk. But, after spotting an expired license plate, the cops checked their computer and discovered Coleman was wanted on an outstanding warrant--seems the former child star never paid the $400 fine levied against him in February after he entered a no contest plea to disturbing the peace.

That, of course, was the plea-bargained-down charge against the 85-pound Coleman, stemming from his alleged attack on a 205-pound female bus driver in a Los Angeles store in July 1998. (Coleman's sentence also included a year's probation and anger-management sessions.)

Back in February, Coleman admitted to punching the driver, Tracy Fields, in the face. Eyewitnesses said the actor became enraged after Fields--unhappy with the autograph Coleman had given her--began harassing the erstwhile kid star about his lack of adult career success.

After police took him into custody Saturday, it reportedly took Coleman only an hour to come up with the $26,000 bail. He's due back in court August 3.

Coleman's second arrest follows the overdose suicide in May of his 33-year-old Diff'rent Strokes costar, Dana Plato.

Meanwhile, the 33-year-old Bridges, who endured perhaps the most legal trouble of any of the three Strokes kid stars--including an attempted murder charge that he was later cleared of--has managed to stay out of police reports for several years now.
Maureen McHalehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13547236096510278686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2702831105004251432.post-57214910035711480722010-01-29T12:34:00.000-08:002010-06-10T12:37:45.844-07:00Gary Coleman Faces $750 Fine and Three Months in JailGary Coleman has not had the best luck with his career. It’s not really his fault, though, because how can you top being a child actor with stunted growth in an 80s sitcom that only requires you to pout your lips and say "What chu’ talkin’ about, Willis?" every six seconds and occasionally do episodes about inappropriate touching. Seriously, you’re at the top with that, and everybody knows it. The only thing left to do is to move to Utah.
You know Utah… Religious mecca, birthplace of Kentucky Fried Chicken, home to Robert Redford’s trendy film festival, and the only place on earth that can proudly boast to having Jello as the state food. These are no doubt the very reasons that enticed Gary Coleman to move there in the first place. And what does Gary Coleman do to keep up with the spicy nightlife? He does the only sensible thing and gets cited for disorderly conduct after losing his temper in a parked car.

We’ve already presented the obvious virtues of living in Utah, but we should also add that it is also the only place in the world where people are so starved for entertainment that they’ll call the cops when they see an unusually short black guy hit the steering wheel of his car, because that’s exactly what happened to Gary Coleman when the police were called after onlookers observed Gary Coleman hitting the steering wheel of his parked car while in a heated discussion with a woman in Provo, Utah last Friday. The woman was not identified. Was that because it’s hard for an inflatable woman to talk? Who knows.

Regardless, the situation escalated to excitement and loud volume from Coleman once the police arrived. We swear we’re not making up the details of this scandalous event. Read for yourself:

Mr. Coleman was very excited and loud… At one point, he exited his vehicle, waving his arms, yelling and screaming," Cpt. Cliff Argyle told the Salt Lake City Tribune. "Vehicles were unable to exit the parking lot because of Mr. Coleman's actions."

Gary Coleman faces a $750 fine and up to three months in jail for his actions. If he gets sent to jail, don’t you worry. He’s guest-starred on both Hollywood Squares and Geraldo, so he knows what to do when the going gets rough.

We all know that hitting a steering wheel with your hands is only a smidge away from letting the blood of kittens in front of a shrine embodying the Spawn of Satan, but given the fact that Gary Coleman has a past history of violent confrontations (he was sued in 2000 for allegedly hitting a fan in the face) someone really should step in and help him with his anger management issues. Either that or they should put him on The Surreal Life where slapping and ranting are as common as a drunken Vern Troyer peeing off of his motorized scooter in the buff.

Actually, either way Gary Coleman wants to go with that one is fine with us.

Maureen McHalehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13547236096510278686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2702831105004251432.post-84330646771991248372010-01-28T12:39:00.000-08:002010-06-10T12:41:09.526-07:00Gary Coleman - Assault ChargesWhatchu talkin' 'bout?
We must sadly report that the diminutive Diff'rent Strokes star is indeed wanted for questioning by Los Angeles-area police after allegedly slugging a female fan Thursday.

The 30-year-old Coleman, now employed as a security guard, was shopping for a bulletproof vest in a Hawthorne, California, uniform store, when he was accosted by an autograph hound.

The fan asked Coleman for his John Hancock, and the actor complied, signing his name on a slip of paper, according to the shop manager. The autograph-seeker, identified as Tracy Fields by police, then asked Coleman to write another, longer message for her son.

That's when Coleman allegedly snapped, accusing the woman of giving him "attitude." He handed her back the paper and made a racial slur, Lt. James McInerny of the Hawthorne police said.

"She [then] made a comment about his acting ability and he punched her right in the eye," the officer said. Coleman reportedly continued pummeling the woman until an off-duty cop who was also in the store pulled them apart.

Police are now looking for Coleman. They want his side of the story before deciding whether to file assault and battery charges against the onetime child celeb. He has until Friday afternoon to turn himself in.

Once the highest-paid kid on TV, Coleman saw his star fizzle with the cancellation of Diff'rent Strokes in 1986. He currently runs an arcade in Pasadena, California, and works as a mall security guard. He's also trying to resuscitate his acting career.

His TV siblings haven't fared too well in their post-Strokes lives, either. Bro Todd Bridges has been arrested on drug and assault charges and, in 1989, was acquitted of attempted murder. Sis Dana Plato's rap sheet includes arrests for forging Valium prescriptions and for robbing a video store with a toy gun. Both have since undergone drug rehabilitation
Maureen McHalehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13547236096510278686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2702831105004251432.post-85640381448801718672010-01-27T16:56:00.001-08:002010-01-27T16:57:25.898-08:00Adrian Pasdar Arrested for Allegedy Driving Drunk"Heroes" TV actor Adrian Pasdar has been arrested for allegedly driving drunk and veering across lanes on a West Los Angeles freeway.

A California Highway Patrol report says Pasdar was pulled over shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday after officers saw his Ford F-150 truck doing 94 mph and straddling two lanes on Interstate 405.

The 44-year-old actor was booked for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol. Diff'rent Strokes actor Gary Coleman was arrested at the weekend on a domestic violence charge.

The American actor - best known for his role as Arnold Jackson in the US sitcom - was being held for a misdemeanour count of domestic assault in Santaquin, Utah.

His bail was set at $1,725, as he also had an outstanding warrant for a prior incident.

A source told website RadarOnline: "He's been booked. He's in the jail right now."

The victim of the assault has not yet been revealed, and a police source wouldn't say if they had specifically sought to arrest Coleman or if they had picked him up after a chance encounter.

Former child star Coleman, 41, has, however, had a rocky marriage to actress Shannon Price, 24, whom he wed in secret on August 2007.

Their marriage has been beset with public and private arguments, and they appeared on US TV show Divorce Court to discuss their problems.

Price was arrested on domestic violence charges in July last year after an incident with her husband. She had locked the 4ft 8ins actor out of their house and police said his bedroom was trashed.

Coleman was also arrested in Utah in 2008 after a man claimed he'd tried to run over him in a car park after he tried to take a picture with him. The case was reportedly settled out of court.
Maureen McHalehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13547236096510278686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2702831105004251432.post-34236331384656785892010-01-26T12:24:00.000-08:002010-06-10T12:26:08.779-07:00Gary Coleman Arrested for Domestic ViolenceGary Coleman's in a little trouble. Again.
The diminutive former "Diff'rent Strokes" star was picked up in his Utah hometown yesterday on a domestic-violence warrant, sources said.

Cops in Santaquin, outside Salt Lake City, would not comment on the arrest, but Utah County jail records indicate that Coleman, 41, was being held in lieu of $1,725 bail for the 2009 warrant.

Coleman, who was arrested in 2008 for allegedly hitting a man with his pickup truck at a Utah bowling alley, did not return calls for comment.

The arrest is the latest blow for 1970s child star.

Coleman's relationship with his wife, actress Shannon Price, has been rocky over the years, although the alleged victim in the current case is not known.

In July, Price, who met Coleman on the set of the 2006 comedy "Church Ball," was nabbed for locking him out during a fight and trashing the house.

In July 2007, Coleman allegedly unleashed a verbal tirade at Price in a parking lot, leading to a disorderly-conduct charge.

The pair appeared on the TV show "Divorce Court" the next year, but later reconciled.
Maureen McHalehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13547236096510278686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2702831105004251432.post-89360287207838202802010-01-12T12:14:00.000-08:002010-01-12T12:26:16.380-08:00Cyrus Zacharia "Zach" Shepherd-OppenheimThe son of actress Cybil Shepherd is under arrest after he allegedly tried to rob passengers on a plane bound for Philadelphia International Airport. Philadelphia police say that Cyrus Zacharia Shepherd-Oppenheim, 22, was on a United flight from San Francisco to Philadelphia around 1 a.m. Tuesday. Shepherd-Oppenheim is being questioned regarding allegations he went through passengers’ luggage while they were sleeping and took their possessions.

Witnesses identified Cyrus Shepherd-Oppenheim as the man who took items during the flight. Stolen Items included a digital camera, leather make-up case, small travel bag and United States currency. Police spokesman Lt. Frank Vanore said investigators were alerted when a carry-on bag appeared to be too large. A subsequent investigation showed some items identified as missing were located in an airplane bathroom, and some items were found at the defendant’s seat. All the items were recovered, Vanore said.Shepherd-Oppenheim was taken into custody at the airport and charges are pending. Police say Shepherd-Oppenheim of Sepastopolm, Calif., faces two theft charges for unlawful taking and receiving stolen goods.Maureen McHalehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13547236096510278686noreply@blogger.com
